🌀A Labyrinth Walk into Sacred Stillness and Soul Illumination

By

I walked the labyrinth today with a simple intention: to ask for healing and insight. I entered with love and gratitude in my heart, open to whatever Spirit wanted to show me. I didn’t expect anything dramatic—just a quiet moment of connection. But what I received was much more than that.

Not long into the walk, I noticed sticks had fallen in a way that clearly formed a symbol I recognized: the rune for Isa. For those unfamiliar, runes are ancient symbols used by early Germanic and Norse cultures. Each one carries a specific meaning, and many people today use them for spiritual reflection. The Isa rune represents pause, quiet, and inner reflection. As I stood there looking at it, I heard the words, “We are always here. All you need to do is sit in stillness.”

That hit me. I know I need stillness in my life. I even ask for it. But the truth is, I often avoid it. I fill my time with distractions, even when I say I’m open to Spirit. It made me wonder—am I really open to receive what I ask for? Or am I afraid of what might come through in the quiet?

As I kept walking, I saw the rune of Gebo appear again and again. This rune—symbolizes sacred exchange, balance in relationships, and mutual giving. Alongside it, I noticed the rune of

Algiz, which is often seen as a spiritual shield. Together, they felt like a message: I’m not alone. I’m supported. Spirit is walking with me, even when I doubt it.

When I reached the center of the labyrinth, I closed my eyes. That’s when the vision came. First, I saw the Gebo rune again. Then it faded into an image of a large pyramid, with the rune outlined in gold along its edges. That image dissolved into a pond, where many droplets of water created overlapping ripples. I heard the words, “Circles, circles, circles.” Everything felt connected—like each drop, each ripple, was part of something bigger.

Then the vision shifted again. I saw the Gebo rune once more, this time with the Isa rune running through its center. A beam of light rose from the earth and another came down from above, meeting at my heart. I placed my hands over my chest, feeling a deep sense of gratitude. Then I was guided to stretch my arms out to the sides. I heard the words, “Six points.” In that moment, light radiated from my heart in six directions—front, back, left, right, up, and down. My whole body tingled. And then I heard it: “I am the axis.” The words repeated over and over. For what felt like two to three minutes. “I am the axis.” “I am the axis.” “I am the axis.” I felt it—not just as an idea, but as a truth in the core of my being.

“I am the axis”

Just then, my cat brushed against my leg, gently pulling me back to the present. I opened my eyes, still standing in the center of the labyrinth. But the words stayed with me: “I am the axis.” I carried them with me as I walked the path back out. And when I reached the exit, I turned back toward the center, bowed my head, and thanked Spirit for the experience.

And as I crossed the threshold into the world again, the truth pulsed within me—just like those water ripples that began it all:

“I am the axis.” “I am the axis.” “I am the axis.”
